We are seeking a Commercial Helper who will work alongside experienced technicians to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial garage doors.

This role provides excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and skill development in the field of garage door systems.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Starting date: As soon as possible
• Salary: $22-$25 per hour, based on experience
• Job status: Full-time, Permanent
• Location: Bantree St, Ottawa, Ontario

Garage Door Commercial Helper Responsibilities:

• Support senior technicians in installing residential and commercial garage doors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
• Assist in the routine maintenance activities for commercial garage door systems, including lubrication, adjustments, and inspections.
• Work with technicians to identify and troubleshoot issues with garage door systems, providing necessary support during repairs.
• Handle and organize tools, equipment and materials required for installation and maintenance tasks.
• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, answering basic queries and providing assistance as directed by senior technicians.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and the team.

Garage Door Commercial Helper Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid G driver's license is a must.
• The role involves working at heights, frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of overhead doors, sectionals, rolling steel, high speed or specialty doors would be considered: An asset
